Βιογραφικό/Faculty Bio

Professor at the Department of Agricultural Development of the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), in Agricultural Policy. My studies include a degree in Agricultural Economics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), a Master's degree in International Agricultural and Food Marketing from Newcastle upon Tyne University and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My research interests focus on agricultural policy, rural development, international trade, agri-food management and export-import management with published work in international journals such as: Agribusiness an International Journal, Fisheries Research, Agronomy for Sustainable Development, Land Use Policy, New Medit, Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Policy, Agricultural Systems, European Planning Studies and Annals of Operational Research. In addition, I have been involved as a researcher in international and domestic research programs and have participated in a large number of international conferences. My teaching classes at the graduate level include International Trade of Agricultural Products, Rural Economic Development (Theory and Policy), Agricultural Policy and Economics of European Integration, while at the postgraduate level, my classes involve International Trade and Policy and Business Research Methods.
