Students obtain specialized knowledge of the ecology, morphology and physiology and cultivation of the deciduous fruit crops grown in Greece.

COURSE CONTENT

Pomes, stone fruits, nut crops, miscellaneous fruit species: Origin and early development, botanical classification and organography, pollination and fertilization, climatic and soil conditions, propagation, rootstocks and varieties, cultivation practices, fruit maturation, harvest and storage.
