Teaching outcomes
Upon the completion of the course the students will have acquired the basic knowledge on pests, diseases and weeds chemical control, identify the formulation types of plant protection products and their application methods.

  1. COURSE CONTENT
Plant protection methods – chemical method. Pesticides: Definition, classes. Historical review. Formulations (types, composition). Pesticide Use (choise, application, safety measures, problems). Pesticide application machines. Combination of pesticides (phytotoxicity, cumulative, competitive, synergistic, enhanced action). Concept of main parameters. Mode of action. Properties and standards of modern pesticides. Pesticide dissipation. Main pesticide classes. Pesticides of plant origin, biopesticides.
