Teaching outcomes
After this course the students are expected to:

  • Have developed the ability to recognize symptoms and signs of fruit tree and grapevine diseases.
  • Be able to observe microscopic preparations and recognize the fungi causing the major diseases of fruit trees and grapevines.
  • To understand disease cycle and the factors affecting disease development and the way to decide the appropriate control measures.
General capabilities

  • Development of inductive reasoning.
  1. COURSE CONTENT
Diseases of fruit trees and grapevines caused by fungi, prokaryotes, viruses and environmental factors. Symptomatology, etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis and control methods.
