Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to understand:

• Specialized technical knowledge related to the cultivation of aromatic plants.
• Specialized problems that arise during the growth and development of the above plants and their solution with the best techniques.

COURSE CONTENT

Main cultivated aromatic plants. Classification, botanical traits, biological cycle, common cultivation techniques. Spreading and economic importance. Prospects for commercial exploitation of the most important aromatic plants. Basic elements of essential oil chemistry, biosynthesis and biological action of essential oils
