Students obtain basic knowledge of the ecology, morphology and physiology of the fruit crops cultivated in Greece and they become capable of identifying the main fruit trees of Greece. |

World and Greek fruit production. The fruit tree and its parts. Fruit bearing. Variety improvement. Dormancy. Pollination and fruit set. Thinning of fruits. Fruit growth. Nutrition of fruit trees. Irrigation. Pruning. Propagation. Rootstocks. Productivity. Hormones and growth regulators. Fruit maturation. Planting an orchard. Frost protection. |
